I Keep Making This Mistake On Reta 1

I Keep Making This Mistake On Reta

One thing I’ve consistently noticed with Reta food noise suppression is how quiet everything becomes around eating.

I was supposed to go to the gym today.

That was the plan.

Instead, I ended up going to the beach and rollerblading for a while, which honestly sounded way more peaceful than being inside a gym. The weather was beautiful, the breeze felt amazing, and I just wanted to move my body in a way that felt fun instead of structured.

What I didn’t realize until later was that I had completely forgotten to eat.

And if you’re on Reta, you probably already understand exactly how that happens.

I do my Reta once a week on Mondays, and one thing I’ve consistently noticed is how quiet food noise becomes afterward. It’s honestly kind of wild sometimes. The constant thoughts about food disappear so much that there are moments where eating doesn’t even cross my mind at all. Not intentionally. I’m not trying to starve myself or restrict. I literally just forget.

Usually I’ll realize it when it’s already been way too long.

Today was one of those days.

I had already done my Glow and MOTS-C earlier, spent time outside rollerblading, sweating, moving around, and by the time I got home I started feeling really dizzy. That shaky, weak, lightheaded feeling where your body is basically tapping you on the shoulder saying:

“Hey… we need fuel.”

Every single time this happens, I tell myself I’m not going to do it again.

And then somehow I still end up making the same mistake.

I think when you’re on something that suppresses your appetite so heavily, it’s easy to disconnect from your body’s actual needs because you’re no longer getting those normal hunger cues throughout the day. Before Reta, hunger would remind me to stop and eat. Now, I can get hyper focused, stay busy, go out, work, exercise, run errands, and suddenly realize it’s late afternoon and I’ve had basically nothing.

The thing is your body still needs nourishment even if your brain isn’t asking for it.

Especially if you’re working out.

Especially if you’re outside in the heat.

Especially if you’re trying to build muscle, have energy, support your hormones, or simply feel good.

I know a lot of people get excited when they stop thinking about food all the time, and honestly I understand why. But I also think there needs to be more conversation around making sure you are still taking care of yourself properly while using these peptides.

Because feeling dizzy, weak, exhausted, shaky, or depleted is not the goal.

And I’m writing this mostly because I know I’m probably not the only one doing this.

So this is your reminder from someone who keeps learning this lesson the hard way:
Please eat something before your workouts.

Even if it’s small.

Even if you “don’t feel hungry.”

Your body still needs support.
And sometimes wellness is less about restriction and more about remembering to nourish yourself.
