Hiiii 🙂
I figured it was time for a little update because I've been pretty quiet lately.
Over the past few months, I've been completely consumed by getting Giovanna Lately up and running. What started as a simple idea quickly turned into weeks of designing pages, organizing content, learning WordPress, figuring out Elementor, troubleshooting random issues, and spending far more hours staring at my screen than I ever planned on.
If you've ever built something from scratch, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about.
There comes a point where you've poured so much energy into something that your brain simply says, “Nope. We're done for now.”
That's exactly what happened to me.
I went into what I like to call stale mode.
The funny thing is that this isn't new for me. I've noticed a pattern throughout my life where I become completely obsessed with a project. I can spend weeks, sometimes months, hyper focused on one thing. I'll wake up thinking about it, go to sleep thinking about it, and spend every spare moment working on it.
Then one day, seemingly out of nowhere, I want absolutely nothing to do with it. I'd get frustrated because I knew I genuinely enjoyed whatever I was working on. Why would I suddenly lose all motivation?
As I've gotten older, I've realized it's usually not a lack of passion. It's burnout.
Sometimes creativity requires space.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is walk away for a little while and trust that you'll find your way back when you're ready.
The good news is that even though I stepped away from the website, I definitely wasn't sitting around doing nothing.
After leaving my corporate job, I've been working full time as a UGC creator, and honestly, it has been one of the most exciting creative chapters of my life.
For the first time in over a decade, I've been consistently using my camera again.
Learning photography, experimenting with different lenses, understanding lighting, creating product content, and bringing creative ideas to life has reminded me how much I genuinely love creating.
There's something incredibly satisfying about picking up a skill you once loved and rediscovering it through an entirely different lens.
Pun intended.
I've also started streaming again, which has been another unexpected surprise. I forgot how much I enjoy being on camera and connecting with people in real time. It's funny how certain passions can quietly wait for you until you're ready to revisit them.
And speaking of unexpected surprises…
While I've been away, Facebook decided to place restrictions on my page because of some content related to my peptide journey.
That was definitely not on my bingo card for 2026.
After going back and forth with Facebook and appealing the restriction, I was eventually able to get everything resolved. At one point, I was even notified that my personal Facebook account an account I've had since 2007 could potentially be affected.
Needless to say, that got my attention.
The entire experience made me realize that social media platforms aren't always the best place for certain conversations, especially when discussing personal wellness topics that can easily be misunderstood by automated systems.
Because of that, I've decided to create a dedicated “Dear Diary” peptide section here on Giovanna Lately.
My goal isn't to give advice or tell anyone what they should do. I simply want a place where I can document my own experiences, thoughts, observations, and personal journey without worrying about whether a social media algorithm is going to interpret it the wrong way.
More on that soon.
On a happier note, I've also spent quite a bit of time expanding my Shop My Favorites section.
One of the things I love most about this website is that it gives me a place to share products, tools, and random finds that I genuinely use in my everyday life. Whether it's something related to beauty, wellness, home, content creation, or just a product that made my life easier, I enjoy having a place to keep everything organized and share it with anyone who might find it useful.
At the end of the day, Giovanna Lately has become much more than just a blog.
It's a creative outlet.
It's a diary.
It's a collection of things I love.
It's a place where I can document my experiences, share what I'm learning, and express myself without needing everything to fit neatly into one category.
And honestly, that's exactly what I wanted it to be.
So if you've been wondering where I've been, that's the update.
I've been creating.
I've been learning.
I've been taking breaks when I needed them.
And most importantly, I've been finding my way back to the things that inspire me.
I'm feeling that pull toward the website again, which means you'll probably start seeing more blog posts, more random thoughts, more product finds, and more life updates from me soon.
Thank you for being here and following along with whatever this little corner of the internet continues to become.
Talk soon.
