I first discovered sound baths during one of the hardest and most overwhelming periods of my life.
At the time, my nervous system felt completely out of balance. I was dealing with extreme stress, heartbreak, health issues, emotional exhaustion, and a version of myself that constantly felt stuck in survival mode. My body felt tense all the time, my thoughts were racing constantly, and it genuinely felt like I had forgotten what peace even felt like.
That period of my life forced me to start becoming more intentional about the things I consumed mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
I slowly started changing small things in my daily routines.
I stepped away from drinking for a while.
I stopped listening to aggressive music on my way to work and replaced it with podcasts, calming frequencies, and softer music that didn’t leave me feeling overstimulated.
I swapped coffee for tea because my anxiety and stress levels already had my heart racing enough on their own.
I started lighting incense when I got home because even small rituals helped me feel grounded again.
I would play meditation music quietly in the background just to create a softer atmosphere around me.
And then I discovered sound baths.
I remember attending my first one and laying in a hammock while the woman leading the session walked around the room playing different instruments around each person individually.
For the first time in a very long time, I felt calm.
Nothing was overwhelming me.
I wasn’t spiraling.
I wasn’t anxious.
I wasn’t emotionally heavy.
I was just… present.
And then she reached me.
As she played the instruments near me, tears suddenly started pouring out of my eyes.
But the strange part was…
I wasn’t crying.
It felt like my body was releasing emotions, stress, tension, and heaviness that had been trapped inside of me for way too long.
A release.
A reset.
A deep exhale my nervous system desperately needed.
After that experience, sound healing completely changed the course of my wellness journey.
I fell deeply in love with it.
The more I attended sound baths and learned about frequencies, vibrations, and the connection between sound and the body, the more I realized how powerful it can be to intentionally create moments of stillness and regulation for yourself.
Sound healing became one of the tools that helped me reconnect with myself again.
Eventually, I purchased my own crystal singing bowl set, crystal harp, and tuning forks so I could continue bringing those moments into my daily life at home.
I’ll be adding all of these to my “Shop My Favorites” page because they genuinely became part of my healing journey and something I still use regularly today.
And honestly, this is why wellness means so much more to me than aesthetics or trends.
Sometimes healing starts with the smallest things:
a frequency,
a quiet room,
a slower morning,
a cup of tea,
a calming routine,
or simply giving yourself permission to slow down long enough to breathe again.
I’d genuinely love for this to be an open conversation because I know so many people silently struggle with stress, burnout, nervous system dysregulation, emotional exhaustion, and feeling disconnected from themselves.
Have you ever experienced a sound bath before?
Do you listen to frequencies, meditation music, or calming sounds?
What helps you reconnect with yourself when life starts feeling heavy?
I’d love to hear your experiences too.
